WHAT WE DO
Inside a session.
What actually happens.
Every session is 55 minutes, one-on-one via Zoom. No textbook. Just German, built around you, from the very first minute.
SESSION STRUCTURE
Each session has two parts
The first is practical: we talk about your immersion outside of our sessions, what you are watching, listening to, and how to find more of what works for you. The second is the session itself: live, interactive, comprehensible German.
IMMERSION STRATEGY
Your roadmap outside the session.
We talk about what you are doing between sessions and how to make it more effective. I tell you exactly what to watch, listen to, and focus on at your current level.
I help you build the habit of daily immersion and give you the tools to keep going on your own. You will always know what to do next.
INTERACTIVE IMMERSION
Live German. From session one.
This is the core of every session. I speak German, adjusted to your exact level. You speak English. We communicate, and your brain does the rest. I illustrate live, tell stories, and work through real scenarios so the language carries meaning. No translation. No explanations. Just German you actually understand.
HOW IT WORKS IN PRACTICE
The tools I use
in our sessions.
Live iPad illustrations
I draw directly on screen as we speak. Words become images in real time. Your brain connects meaning visually, without going through translation.
Storytelling
I tell stories built around your life, your interests, your level. Personal stories are more memorable than textbook exercises. They are also more fun.
Level adjustment
Too easy and the brain coasts. Too hard and it gives up. I keep us in the narrow space where acquisition actually happens.
Real scenarios
Getting directions. Finding a flat. Making an appointment. We work through it in German so the language is always connected to life.
Multiple media
Maps, images, video clips, audio — I bring in whatever makes the input richer and more comprehensible. The more channels of communication, the better.
Crosstalk
You speak English. I speak German. A deceptively simple technique that produces maximum comprehensible input from the very first session.
